The programme consists of 16 subjects,
7 core units and 9 specialist units,
each subject $3600, through APL
(Accreditation Prior Learning) candidates previously completed hotel subjects can be exempted.
$3600 X 16 subjects = $57600
2 years full-time; (from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
3 years part-time
Teaching materials will be in English. Lectures and tutorials will be conducted mainly in Cantonese supplemented by English.
F.7 HKAL A/AS level passes;
F.5 graduate with HKCEE passes in English (syllabus B) and Mathematics; or
F.5 graduate and one year additional study in commercial/ business subjects or
Other candidates with combined equivalent education/ training/ experience to be assessed by an interview panel.
Holder of Foundation Diploma in Hotel Management; or
Holder of certificate, diploma or above in Hotel Management; Travel & Tourism studies or other discipline; or
Special consideration is given to mature applicants aged 21 years or above, without the above qualifications, but who have at least 2 years of relevant work / life experience.
Candidates can top-up to a year 2 or year 3 degree programme in Hotel Management at a University in UK or Australia.
After completion of the program, candidates will be able to enter into the junior position in the hotel related industry.
Aim & Objectives:
The Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management (HND in Hospitality Management) allows students to gain a broad overview on hotel management and develop the essential skill sets and competitive edge that they need for a successful career.
The HND in Hotel Management facilitates the students to develop their management skills in Hotel sector with knowledge which is highly demanded by the industry. Students are required to complete 16 units.
The aim of the Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management is to provide individuals:
To equip interested person with the basic skills and knowledge to carry out junior management duties in Hotel related business.
To enhance the students, chances of successfully becoming a hotel manager.
To prepare students for further study in Hotel Management
Award & Assessment:
Attendance: A minimum attendance of 85% per module is required.
Upon completion of all two units successfully, students will receive an award in Diploma in Hospitality Management Level 4 from Penasia School of Continuing Education.
